I was self-conscious about the idea of singing, so I created a vocal sound that completely obscured the words. I think it's heavily influenced by both Rush and some of the Grunge that was happening at the time. Interesting fact: this song has a running time of 4:20, but any relationship between the psychedelic nature of the vocal and "4:20" drug slang is purely coincidental. But a happy accident.
